These still images with movement, i have done using a high exposure time and maximum brightness, to capture light trails, movement in action, and generally to make an interesting picture.
The first series of pictures are of the moon. As magical as it is i like to make things seem even more spectacular! I picked up a few tips on how to get light trails into my photographs on youtube after watching some videos.
Whats working?
I think these pictures work as interesting glimpses into the movement of light. I like how they seem to spiral around and around.
Whats not working?
Some of the trails are a bit squiggly and uneven. i dont like how the date(the wrong one at that) is in the bottom right corner, if i had known this before taking the shots i would have got rid of it, as i totally throughs off the elegance of the light trails
Whats next?
next time i think i will get a tri pod to make the lines more stable and nicer. i would also take off the date recorder.
Experiment: Match light
Whats working?
I like how the flame has curled up with the way that i have moved it across the lens, also how my fingers frame the top of the picture.
Whats not working?
Again the date is in the way, although this one it doesnt matter so much as it is a similar colour to the tones of the flame.
Whats next?
next time i think i will experiment with moving the flame in different directions.

Whats working?
I like how creepy it looks, very ghost like! i like the way my poncho looks with a dim light and a mask underneath, gives my face a ghoulish look to it. i also like how with a long exposure and movement in front of the lens, i can move my arms around and it will capture these layers of movement.
Whats not working?
Maybe some of the shots arent close enough, quite hard to make out. Also some of my arms and movements arent as noticeable as i had hoped.
Whats next?
Take someone with me when i go to shoot. get a tripod. experiment with more light/fire.
